"Are You Ready for the Latest Updates? Get Ready for a Long Read!"

Currently, I am quite behind on updating my blog. I aim to catch up on it now! :)

Let's go back a bit.

The Outlander litter was born to Gypsy Sapphire and Rembrandt on April 26th, and they are thriving. Gypsy delivered 7 healthy kittens - 4 boys and 3 girls.

This litter will visit the vet tomorrow for their spaying and neutering!

Did you know that we donate a portion of our kittens' proceeds to the Pet Resource Center of Kansas City to support families in need of help with spaying and neutering their pets?

We endorse spaying and neutering programs and believe that responsible breeding practices, focusing on health and breed improvement, are the only way to control the pet population.

Shortly after Gypsy, Halo welcomed 5 adorable kittens, the Astronomy litter, into the world - 3 girls and 2 boys. They will be altered by the end of August, just in time to join their new families for Labor Day!

Our lovely Syrah gave birth to 3 kittens on June 26th. Initially, we doubted her pregnancy as her belly grew slowly. Eventually, she gave birth to three kittens, but sadly two were stillborn. It was a heartbreaking moment. Syrah wasn't ready to be a mother yet. However, she had one surviving kitten, Phoenyx, whom we nurtured by hand. We dedicated countless nights and days to bottle-feeding, assisting with potty needs, and providing comfort to ensure this little one felt loved. Phoenyx is a fighter and is making great progress, although she is smaller than usual for her age (4 weeks), she is steadily catching up!

Last week, Gypsy and FyreFly underwent HCM echocardiogram screenings at Blue Pearl. Both passed with flying colors. This was FyreFly's first Echo and Gypsy's second.

We will continue to take our breeding cats to Dr. Thomason annually for their screenings. :)

FyreFly participated in her first cat show last month, being one of two polydactyl Maine Coons in the show. Although she received 2nd best of breed by default, the judges noted her promising qualities but suggested she needed to grow a bit more! She will be attending the regional show in mid-August once again at Gray Summit @ Purina Farms.

We will also be present at our first TICA regional awards banquet that weekend. Time to get dressed up!

Thank you to everyone who has been following our blogs and site. We appreciate having you in our "Town".

Speaking of the Town, there are exciting developments happening at the farm for the actual "Town". We are currently working on enhancing our cattery in a unique and fun way for our feline friends. More updates will follow as things progress. Stay tuned!

Love & Fur,

Carolyn Rollins
